The great fight of Randy Couture Vs James Toney (fight video given below), they faced off in the main event of UFC 118 on Saturday’s night at TD Garden in Boston, Mass. Couture defeated Toney via Arm triangle choke submission at the 3-minute mark of the 1st round. It was really a good fight but it had to end short as Couture showed that he doesn’t want the fight to go the space.

The challenger Toney never had an opportunity against the UFC legend that at 47 years old may no longer even be on top his game. The end came so early in the 1st round it was just as forecasted by fight experts and fans.

The Round 1, they start slow but Couture gets the takedown in less than 10 seconds and moves into full mount right away. Couture is bluster up and dropping shots. Now he’s moving Toney against the cage, landing shots all the way. Couture is looking for the arm triangle. Toney hardly hanging on. Couture goes back for the arm triangle again, Toney goes to sleep.

This may well be Toney’s 1st and last UFC and mixed martial arts
fight as it was proven that his one-dimensional fighting is not adequate to get him anywhere in the this sport. But, Toney should also get acclaim for the effort of crossing over from boxing to MMA. He is just not good enough to do well in MMA and at his age, should choose to retire if there are no other freak show opportunities for him in the future.

Couture said that “I’m a huge fan of boxing; A lot of credit to James”. Toney, who has asserts 11 title belts in 5 weight classes as a boxer, praised Couture in a post fight interview difficult to hear over the booing crowd.
